The Best Weight Loss Supplements

best weight loss supplements

What are the best weight loss supplements? Out of all the different weight loss supplements on the market, which ones actually work?

Many weight loss supplements don't live up to their advertised claims. Supplements that promise quick and easy weight loss with no effort on your part are a scam. You can't effectively lose weight just by taking a supplement. But certain supplements, when used in conjunction with diet and exercise, can help you lose weight.

Here's a list of the best weight loss supplements:

Green Tea - Green tea is one of the most popular herbal supplements in the world. It's been used for thousands of years, especially by Asian cultures, for it's many health benefits. These health benefits include reduced cholesterol, increased immune function, and a healthier cardiovascular system. Green tea is also commonly used as a weight loss supplement because of it's ability to raise metabolism and burn fat.

Hydroxycitric Acid - Hydroxycitric acid (HCA) is also known as Citrimax. HCA is the principle acid found in the fruit and rind of Garcinia cambogia, a tropical tree fruit native to India. HCA has been used for centuries as a food condiment in Asia to make food more filling and satisfying. HCA has been clinically shown to suppress appetite and inhibit the conversion of carbohydrate to fat.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid - Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a naturally occurring fatty acid found in beef and dairy products. CLA has been shown in numerous studies to reduce body fat while increasing lean muscle mass. The amount of CLA found in beef and dairy products has declined substantially over the last few decades, so CLA supplements are a good way to increase CLA in your diet.

Chromium - Chromium is an essential mineral that helps insulin metabolize fat, turn protein into muscle and convert sugar into energy. Chromium is found in a variety of foods but many people are not getting enough chromium from their regular diet. Chromium supplements are a good way to increase chromium in your diet.

Fish Oil - Fish oil increases fat loss, decreases fat retention, and encourages the use of stored fat as fuel. For more information on fish oil, visit the Fish Oil Health Benefits page.

Coconut Oil - Coconut oil has been shown to increase metabolism and stimulate the thyroid gland. The thyroid gland determines the metabolic rate of the body, and therefore determines how much energy the body burns each day. An optimally functioning thyroid gland will promote ideal metabolism and stimulate the burning of fat.

Iodine - Healthy iodine levels are essential for maintaining a healthy thyroid gland.

Apple Cider Vinegar - Apple cider vinegar has been a popular home remedy for a variety of conditions for many years. It's often promoted as an aid for weight loss since it may help boost metabolism, increase energy and decrease hunger. But swallowing the acidic vinegar can be difficult, which is why it's best taken in supplement form.

White Kidney Bean Extract - White kidney bean extract has been clinically proven to neutralize the enzymes in the digestive system responsible for converting carbohydrates to fat.

You may have noticed that hoodia gordonii is not on this list of best weight loss supplements. This is because even though there's a lot of anecdotal evidence that hoodia is an effective weight loss supplement, more clinical trials and studies are needed in order to confirm this.
