Hello from Jim Plummer, the author of the Functional Fitness Facts website and the Fitness
Alert newsletter.
Here's some background information on me.
I was relatively fit and healthy when I was in my teens and twenties, but I didn't exercise
and eat right on a consistent basis and there were times when I let myself get out of shape.
I began to get more serious about my fitness and health when I was in my early thirties. I
gradually started educating myself on exercise and nutrition and applying what I learned.
By the time I was in my early forties, exercise and healthy eating had become essential parts
of my life. As I moved through my middle and late forties, I was actually able to keep improving
my physical fitness and overall health.
I'm now 55 years old, and I'm fit and healthy and feel great. I've experienced firsthand the
tremendous power of exercise and healthy eating to slow down the aging process and improve overall
quality of life.
I created my website in 2007 so I could help others experience the same benefits from exercise
and healthy eating that I've experienced. My website contains plenty of information, advice and
resources that will help anyone, regardless of age, gender or fitness level, get fit and healthy.
